“Teams came together to examine how NTA conducts examinations, where systems can be strengthened, how candidate experience can be improved," NTA said.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has organised its four-day Chintan Shivir 2026 at its new premises on Minto Road, New Delhi. The conference was aimed at strengthening the examination system, improving candidate experience and building greater trust among students and their families.
According to the official notification, the Chintan Shivir 2026 focused on three priorities such as integrity, inclusion and innovation.
“Teams came together to examine how NTA conducts examinations, where systems can be strengthened, how candidate experience can be improved, and how technology and better processes can build greater trust,” the notice read.
The discussion during the conference was open and questions were candid, the NTA said. The ideas were ambitious and the resolve was collective, it added.
“The Chintan Shivir was not just about reviewing where we stand. It was about defining where we want to go,” the testing agency said.
The conclusion of the Chintan Shivir marks an important step towards the transformation, with the focus towards implementing the ideas and changes discussed during the four-day programme.
The testing agency also conducts several major entrance examinations in the country, including the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
Recently, the NTA finalised its computer-based testing infrastructure strategy for NEET UG 2027 and the Union education minister Pralhad Joshi also met NTA officials to review preparations for national-level examinations.
