For JEE Main session 2 paper 1 (BE or BTech), a total of 11.06 lakh candidates registered in India and 4,229 abroad, recording an attendance of approximately 93% and Aadhaar authentication of 97%.
For JEE Main 2026 session 2 paper 2 (BArch or BPlanning), saw 54,953 domestic and 270 international candidates, with 73% attendance and 97% Aadhaar authentication.
The JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam was conducted on April 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, in computer-based test (CBT) mode at approximately 566 centres across 304 cities in India and 14 international cities.
The NTA said that despite problems like power cuts at Riyadh centres and internet restrictions in Manipur, the exam went smoothly thanks to careful planning, use of technology, and coordination with authorities.
“Additionally, the NTA aligned the JEE schedule with Class 12 board exams to avoid overlaps and make it easier for candidates,” the NTA statement said.
JEE Main 2026 session 2 answer key
As per the official schedule, the JEE Main 2026 session 2 question papers will be released on April 9, and the answer key will be released on April 11.
Students who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key can challenge any question by paying Rs 200 per question. The JEE Main 2026 session 2 paper 1 results and final rankings will be declared by April 20.
