UGC NET December 2024 exam from January 3; subject-wise schedule out at ugcnet.nta.ac.in

NTA UGC NET December 2024 Exam: The notification for intimation of the exam city centre will be issued eight days before the exam on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 exam dates. As per the notification, the UGC NET December 2024 exam will now be held from January 3 to January 16, 2025. The testing agency has also issued the subject-wise exam schedule for UGC NET December 2024.

“The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC – NET December 2024 for (i) ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, (ii) ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and (iii) ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ for 85 subjects in CBT, mode from 03rd January 2025 to 16th January 2025,” the official notification read.
The UGC NET December 2024 exam will be conducted for 85 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: shift 1 will run from 9 am to 12 pm, and shift 2 will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm. NTA will issue the notification for intimation of the exam city centre eight days before the exam on its official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
As per the initial notification, the UGC NET December 2024 exam was scheduled to be conducted from January 1 to January 19, 2025. The application submission window for the December session closed on December 11, 2024, following a one-day extension.
