Odisha to host sub-committee meeting of G20 on education, culture, energy next year: Pradhan
Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that three G20 sub-committee meetings on education, energy and culture will be held in Odisha.

BHUBANESHWAR: Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan said three G20 sub-committee meetings on education, energy and culture will be held in Odisha next year. Pradhan was speaking during Prameya, News 7 and Digital Wing's Sanakshatra celebration in Bhubaneswar.
The union education minister and G20 sub-committee meetings on education, energy and culture will be held in Odisha in April next year. State’s heritage town Konark and Bhubaneswar are likely to be among the venues for 200 such meetings to be held in the run-up to the main summit. On December 1, India assumed the presidency of the G20 forum, taking over from Indonesia.

"India's chairmanship of G-20 is a matter of glory. The G-20 sub-committee meeting of education department, energy department and culture department will also be held in Odisha in April. I would like to thank the Prime Minister on behalf of Odisha for going to discuss these three issues which are related to Odisha. " read Dharmendra Pradhan's tweet.

On November 16, the education minister chaired a high-level meeting on the preparation for the G20 summit 2023. He emphasised how this summit will become an opportunity for India to share its achievements in the education sector after the launch of National Education Policy (NEP 2020). The ministry of education plans to involve students, educational and skilling institutions to showcase the heritage of the Indian knowledge systems and make the leaders aware of the country's contribution to the world.
