Odisha Open School Admission 2025: Students who previously attempted the SOSC exam but failed any subjects may apply under the "Back" category.

NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has started the registration process for the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examination 2025. Eligible students can fill out the application form for the open school certificate exam 2025 through the official website at bseodisha.ac.in. The last date to fill out the SOSC 2025 application form is November 18.
As per the official notice, students who enrolled in the State Institute of Open School (SIOS) 2024-25 phase one admission are eligible to register under the "Fresh" category. Those who previously appeared for the SOSC exam but did not pass, securing grades ‘F’, ‘ABS’, or ‘MP’, or failed to clear all five subjects, may apply under the “Back” category. Candidates booked under the "MP" category in the last examination are also eligible to reappear under the "Back" category.
The Odisha Board has allowed students from other recognised boards who have passed at least one secondary course subject but have not qualified to seek admission at SIOS with an option for Transfer of Credit (TOC) facility.
According to the official notice, candidates can get the credit transferred up to a maximum of two subjects, provided they scored at least 30% in those subjects within the last five years (from 2020 onwards).
The credits will be given only in those subjects which are included in the SIOS scheme of studies and the scheme of examination. Candidates need to provide details like marks, roll number, and year of passing, along with an upload of their mark sheet from the parent board.
