OPSC Assistant Professor registration begins for 385 posts; apply by April 16

NEW DELHI: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has begun the application process for the recruitment of Assistant Professor posts in different disciplines. The last date to fill out the application form is April 16. Eligible candidates can complete the registration process for OPSC Assistant Professor through the official website, opsc.gov.in.

The OPSC recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 385 Assistant Professor posts in various disciplines of the Odisha education service branch. As per the official notice, candidates from all categories are exempted from paying any application fee to register for the OPSC Assistant Professor form.

Selected candidates will receive a salary of Rs 1,31,400 with a grade pay of Rs 9000. Along with the salary, OPSC Assistant Professors are entitled to a lot of perks and benefits, including, dearness allowance, gratuity, dearness relief, house rent allowance, medical allowance, travel allowance, etc.

OPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria

Age limit: The candidate’s age should be between 21 years old 45 years old as of April 16, 2024. Upper age limit relaxations are applicable for reserved category candidates.

Educational qualification: Candidates should have a master's degree with at least 55% or its equivalent grade in the related subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from a foreign university.

Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) meant for appointment of Assistant Professor (Stage 1) or should have acquired a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the relevant subject.
