OPSC PGT Recruitment 2024: Registration deadline extended to March 18

NEW DELHI: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has extended the online application form-filling date for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in government higher secondary schools. Eligible candidates can fill out the application form by visiting the official website, opsc.gov.in.

As per the official notice, the last date to fill out the OPSC PGT 2024 application form is March 18 which was March 2 earlier. The exam authority will soon announce the OPSC PGT exam dates on its official website. Candidates from all categories are exempted from paying any application for OPSC PGT 2024 registration.

The OPSC recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,375 vacancies, with 53 posts reserved for persons with disabilities (PwD), 41 posts reserved for ex-servicemen, and 14 posts reserved for sports persons. The selection of candidates will be determined by their performance in written examination, personal interview.

OPSC PGT Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for OPSC PGT recruitment 2024 are given below.

Age Limit: Candidates should be between the ages of 21 years old to 38 years old, as of January 1, 2023. Upper age limit relaxations are applicable for reserved category candidates.

Educational qualification

• Candidates should have a master’s degree in the subject concerned from a recognised university with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Or

• Candidates should have a Bachelor of Education (BEd) or equivalent degree recognised by the national council for teacher education.

• A degree or diploma in computer application is a desirable qualification, provided that the candidate can produce a certificate from a recognized university.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for the OPSC PGT 2024 exam.

• Visit the OPSC official website, opsc.gov.in

• On the homepage, click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab.

• Register and proceed with the application process.

• Select the post and fill out the application form.

• Upload documents, if required and submit the form.

• Download the application form and take a printout for future reference.
