Panjab University cancels Jhankar 2023 fest amid high alert, security reasons

NEW DELHI: Panjab University, (PUCHD) Chandigarh has called off the Jhankar festival scheduled from March 20 to 22, 2023, amid high alert and security reasons in Chandigarh and Punjab.

In a letter from the Dean of student welfare, the officials stated that due to high alert in Chandigarh and Punjab, all events of Jhankaar festival, scheduled from March 20 to 22, have been cancelled till further notice.

The decision has been taken by the administration in view of the security issues. The university will notify about the new dates for the fest soon.
