Panjab University to reopen for all students in phased manner from March 10; Hostel guidelines
Panjab University has allowed hostel accommodation for eligible students on sharing basis and asked residents to follow Covid-19 guidelines.

NEW DELHI: Panjab University has decided to start functioning in the physical mode in phased-manner from March 10, 2022. The university reopened in February for PG and final-year UG students.
As per the Panjab University reopening notice, for the undergraduate courses, fourth-year students of five-year courses; third-year students of four-year courses; second-year students of three-year courses and first-year students of two-year courses, offline classes will begin from March 10, 2022.

For UG third-year students of five-year courses, second-year students of four-year courses; first-year students of three-year courses will function from March 17, 2022.
While for second-year students of five-year courses and first-year students of four-year courses, classes will commence from March 25. For first-year students of five-year courses, classes will start from March 31.

“Eligible students are allowed hostel accommodation on sharing basis and residents will have to follow Covid-19 guidelines issued time to time,” the university said. It also informed students that they will have to vacate hostels if Covid-19 situation worsens again.

- Consent from parents will be mandatory stating that their wards will follow all SOPs/directions issued by the government and university from time to time.
- Students have to also submit an undertaking through the chairperson of the department that if the situation demands, they will vacate the hostel and leave the university accommodation.
- Students must have received both the doses of vaccines with a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR report not older than 72 hours of reporting in the hostel for accommodation.
- Guests and visitors entry will not be allowed till further orders.
