NEW DELHI: Over 15 lakh students and teachers have registered for Pariksha Pe Charcha, prime minister Narendra Modi’s annual interaction with students about to write the board examinations.

MyGov India officials held a live discussion on Twitter Spaces regarding ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2022’ (PPC) today. Winners of PPC 2021, principals, students, parents and MyGov officials including Abhishek Singh, CEO of MyGov, Shubho Sengupta, digital marketer and teacher Vineeta Garg spoke.

This is the first time MyGov has hosted a live discussion on Twitter spaces on Pariksha Pe Charcha. “Join us to know about dealing with exams, stress and more from the experts including PPC winners of 2021”, said a tweet from MyGov India.

Vineeta Garg, who was among the finalists for the Global Teacher Prize 2020 spoke about the stress faced by the student and how the students are handling the difficulties.

"Over 15 lakh have enrolled for the Pariksha Pe Charcha till now. There are more female students than their male counterparts. Of the total registered, 50.6 per cent are female students and 49.4 per cent are male students", said Abhishek Singh.

Singh further said that although most of the participants are from CBSE schools, many registrations are also from foreign countries. "Pariksha Pe Charcha has now become an international event. This year, there are more entries from international boards and schools abroad," he said.

There has been an increase in the numbers of students enrolled compared to last year enrolment rate, which was over 10.39 lakh. The live session began at 5 pm and lasted an hour.

The discussions at Pariksha pe Charcha programme includes topics such as exam stress management strategies during COVID-19, self-reliant school for self-reliant India, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, clean India, green India, digital collaboration in classrooms, climate change resilience and environmental conservation.

PPC kits will be distributed by the ministry of education to 2,050 eligible students, teachers and parents who got through the mygov.in competitions. The registration for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2022 event is extended to January 27.
