Parul University hosts 8th convocation ceremony; confers degrees to 12,689 students
Parul University: A total of 91 students were awarded gold medals for their academic performance, while 35 students received certificates of merit.

NEW DELHI : The Parul University (PU) hosted its 8th convocation ceremony at its campus in Vadodara, Gujarat. The event was attended by 12,689 graduating students from various departments and over 18,000 guests including students, parents, and family members.
According to the official PU statement, a total of 91 students were awarded gold medals for their academic performance, while 35 students received certificates of merit.
The event was also attended by former union minister Smriti Irani; athlete Saina Nehwal; journalist Arnab Goswami and entrepreneur Srikanth Bolla and each of them addressed the graduates, offering them motivational insights, the PU official statement said.

According to the official PU statement, the highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of the gold medalists who were awarded for their academic performances. The awardee students belonged to diverse fields from engineering and medical sciences to business, law, and arts.
Some of the gold medalists also began their professional careers with top organizations namely, Neha Chaudhari (Reliance Industries Ltd), Riddi Birari (Seros Energy Pvt Ltd), Piyush Soni (Mahitech LLC), and Jaydeep Findoria (High Court of Gujarat), including others, the official statement PU adds.
The chief guests also provided guidance to the graduating students. In her speech, the former union minister Smriti Irani addressed the graduates with a speech on the power of education. She said: “Shrikant Bola symbolizes fortitude, Saina Nehwal symbolizes focus, and Arnab Goswami signifies tenacity. Whether you fly solo or in a flock, believe in your dreams, as fortune favors the brave.”
Along with the graduating students and chief guests, university dignitaries including president Devanshu Patel; provost Amit Ganatra; registrar Manish Pandya; vice presidents Parul Patel and Komal Patel, and the governing body, board of management and academic council members were present.
The president of PU Devanshu Patel also motivated students and said: “Do not fear starting on the path to success because of the possibility of failure. Ships are not meant to remain at the harbor; those who brave the storms are the ones likely to succeed.”
