NEW DELHI: The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the lives of many children, countless kids have lost both their parents, while many are merely surviving with a single parent, who struggle to take care of them emotionally and financially.
To help such vulnerable children, PI Indian has started an initiative “Digital Bharti.” This initiative will help students who have lost both or either of their parents in the current Covid-19 crisis by providing them with scholarships to continue their education.
The initiative will also provide education fee assistance, digital learning vouchers, device support, and counselling support for the overall development of children.
It further aims to support these students for a period of the next 5 years. On a need basis, they would be given coupons that they can use to purchase educational subscriptions at leading ed-tech companies. Also, they would be given access to laptops and tablets to further support their learning.
