Pondicherry University PhD Admission 2024: Candidates will have to fill separate applications if applying for multiple courses.
NEW DELHI: Pondicherry University has extended the last date for the registration for admission into PhD programmes through entrance examination only, up to September 7. Prospective candidates who failed to complete the registration process and those who wish to apply as fresh candidates will have to register at the official website, pondiuni.edu.in/admissions-2024-25/.
“The candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria / requirements for the programme, before applying. The details regarding Ph.D. Programmes offered in the University Schools / Departments / Centres and its Affiliated institutions are available in the University website,” it said.
10 points to remember before PU PhD registration
Here are 10 points to remember before proceeding to fill the Pondicherry University PhD application form,
- Candidates will have to apply separately for each programme.
- Fill in all details as per the format and confirm all information entered is correct. Incomplete, false, wrong information will lead to rejection of application. “Any claim based on wrong information, wrong course code, centre code, category (OBC/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ Gen), etc. will not be entertained at a later stage,” the university said.
- Application forms are to be filled and submitted online at the official website, www.pondiuni.edu.in
- Candidates will have to select the correct course in the relevant column.
- While filling in the qualification and marks, care should be taken to provide the relevant marks/ grades.
- Defense personnel should apply and make payment in online mode only. They should also take a print out of the online application form and forward the same through the respective Head Quarters addressed to - “The Assistant Registrar(Academic) Pondicherry University R.V. Nagar, Kalapet, Pondicherry-605 014.”
- Before applying for multiple courses, candidates have been instructed to ensure that there is no “overlap of entrance exams among the courses to which they have applied”.
- Helpdesk facilities are available to candidates for help in filling the application form, payment of fees and clarification regarding entrance exam related matters.
- After proper filling of the application form and payment of fee online, candidates can download their printable application from the university website.
