PAU: AAT result 2026 will be declared soon on pau.edu; Total 120 seats are offered for BSc agriculture (hons) programme

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) held the Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT 2026) for as many as 1,014 students today. V S Hans, the controller of examinations, informed that 92% of the total registered candidates appeared for the examination. Of whom, 66% were male, and 34% were female.
He added that the AAT results will be published on the University's official website. Students will have to visit the official website, pau.edu, to access their AAT result 2026 once declared.
PAU conducts AAT for admission to the undergraduate BSc in agriculture (hons) 6-year programme at the institutes of Agriculture, located at Bathinda and Gurdaspur. According to the University’s registrar Rishi Pal Singh, AAT 2026 was held in six centres across the state for the smooth conduct of the exam.

PAU vice-chancellor applauded the encouraging response from outstation agricultural institutions, saying it reflects the growing interest among rural youth in pursuing Punjab's traditional profession of agriculture.

He noted that this trend also indicates a shift in students' aspirations, with more choosing to build their careers in India rather than seeking opportunities abroad.
The students admitted in Bsc (Hons) agriculture 6 year course through AAT with 10+2 qualification will not be allowed any exemption from the courses of 10+2 standard.
A total of 120 seats are offered for BSc (Hons) Agriculture programme. Additionally, two additional seats will be reserved for the pass-outs of PAU Model High School, Kaoni, admitted through merit in the AAT conducted by PAU.
