Try NowThe Punjab government has issued a clarification regarding the implementation of a 1% quota in private medical colleges for Jammu and Kashmir migrants who were displaced due to terrorist violence. According to the Punjab NEET UG admission policy 2025, migrants from Jammu and Kashmir due to terrorist violence will be given 1% reservation in private medical colleges in the state.
“Out of the 1% seats reserved in private medical colleges/universities for Migrants from Jammu & Kashmir due to terrorist violence, first preference shall be given to candidates who fulfil both the criteria mentioned in Clause 11 of the original Notification as well as belong to the category of J&K Migrants,” the state government said.

“Second preference shall be given to candidates who are J&K Migrants but do not fulfil the criteria specified in Clause 11 of the original Notification,” it said.
There is no change in the reservation criteria. However, since the last date for submission of willingness for Punjab NEET UG round 2 counselling has already passed, candidates applying under the 1% quota will be considered for round 3
Candidates eligible for admission under this category have been instructed to select the option during the willingness submission for round 3, which is scheduled to be conducted after round 2 allotment results and college reporting is complete.
As per the Punjab NEET UG round 2 counselling, the seat allotment process will be completed between September 20 to 23 and the allotment results will be declared on September 25.
