QS Asia University Rankings 2022: IIT Bombay best in India, ranks 42
IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi are in the top 50 while IIT Madras has ranked 54th this year in QS University Rankings for Asian 2022.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay secured 42nd rank in QS Asia University Rankings 2022. The institute has bagged the first position in India this year. Quacquarelli Symonds released the QS Asia University Rankings 2022 today.
IIT Bombay secured an overall score of 71 out of 100. The Institute has scored 81.4 in academic reputation, 96 in employer reputation, 23 in citation per faculty, 44.7 in faculty student ratio, 100 in staff with Ph.D. 84.2 in papers per faculty, 78.5 international research network, 11.0 in international faculty, 4.4 in international students, 14.5 in inbound exchange and 8.3 in outbound exchange all scores out of a maximum of 100 points.

Among these 11 indicators, Staff with Ph.D. indicated the strongest one for IIT Bombay with a rank of 18 regionally.
In the 2022 edition of regional rankings, the IIT Bombay performed among the top 7% in the QS Asia University Rankings 2022. The Institute ranked 37th last year.
On the other hand. IIT Delhi has ranked 45 in the rankings this year. IIT Madras has slipped to 54th position this year.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore which bagged the first position in the World University Rankings 2021 has got the 56th rank.
Two IITs, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur are at 60th and 64th positions respectively while University of Delhi (DU) has got the 77th position in QS Asia University Rankings 2022.

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), IITs, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have ranked in the 100-200 bracket this time.
