JGU still top law school in India, ranks in 5 new subjects: QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025

OP Jindal Global University ranks in politics, arts and humanities, social sciences, economics, business and management subjects this year.
NEW DELHI: The OP Jindal Global University has retained the first position in India and among top 100 in the world for law and legal studies in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025. In a first, the university has also ranked this year for five new disciplines.
JGU is the top private university in India for politics and international studies and arts and humanities subjects. For politics, it has secured a spot among the top 201-250 universities in the world and for the latter, it has grabbed the 360th position globally.
The Sonipat university is the second best university in India for economics and econometrics, third best in the country for social sciences and management, and sixth best for business and management studies.
The QS Subject Rankings evaluate university's performance based on indicators including academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact (citations and H-index), and international collaborations. QS analysed over 5,200 institutions globally, and ranked 1,747 universities across 55 narrow subjects and five broad faculty areas.
