Ram Temple Ceremony: Haryana government announces half-day holiday on January 22

Rajasthan, Odisha, Tripura and Assam and union governments have also declared half-day on January 22 for the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram.
NEW DELHI: Haryana government has announced that all departments, boards, corporations, schools, colleges,universities and other state bodies will observe a half-day holiday on January 22. The half-day has been declared to enable Haryana government employees to participate in the celebration of ‘Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha’ at Ayodhya.
Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on X, formerly known as Twitter, said, “On the occasion of ‘Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha’ in Ayodhya, Haryana government has announced half day holiday (till 2.30 pm) on January 22 for the employees of all the departments, boards, corporations, schools, colleges, universities and other establishments of the state.”
The central government has also declared a half-day holiday for its staff in various institutions, offices, and industries on the occasion of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha. The order was issued by the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions. Prime minister Narendra Modi will perform the consecration ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. He will consecrate the idol of Lord Ram marking the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. The government has invited various dignitaries to witness the event on January 22.

The Rajasthan, Odisha, Tripura and Assam governments have also announced an official half-day holiday for all educational institutions on January 22. The Uttar Pradesh government has declared a holiday for all educational institutions on the day of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
