MBBS aspirants aiming for admission to top medical colleges across the country often deal with high competition. However, several colleges offering medicine programmes, admit candidates with low NEET UG scores. These medical institutions include Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi, Dr BR Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, and few others.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) re-exam result 2026 soon for more than 22 lakh candidates on the official website of NEET at neet.nta.nic.in. The re-neet exam was conducted on June 21, 2026 at 5,440 centres across 551 cities in India and 14 centres abroad. Re-NEET 2026 OMR Sheet LIVE

According to the NEET (UG) 2026 marking scheme, for each correct answer, students will get 4 marks, and for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. There will be no marks awarded or deducted for questions not answered. Multiple answers to a question will be regarded as an incorrect response and negative marking will apply.

RE-NEET Result 2026: Eligibility criteria for low score govt medical college

Students who have scored low marks in re-neet exam, can check out other admission methods like management quota admission in the medical college or counselling in the deemed medical college. Candidates should have passed 12th standard exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology with 50% marks and English should be compulsory. Admission can also be subject to the qualifying exam mark, written test or the college's interview of the candidate. Cut-off may differ for reserved and unreserved categories.
