RRB ALP 2025 registration deadline extended to May 19; document specifications

RRB ALP Registration 2025: The recruitment drive will fill 9,970 assistant loco pilot vacancies, including 4,116 for UR, 1,716 for SC, and 858 for ST.
RRB ALP 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the registration deadline for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) 2025. Eligible candidates can now fill out the RRB ALP 2025 registration form till May 19 through the official website at rrbcdg.gov.in.
According to the revised schedule, the last date to pay the application fee is May 21. Initially, the last date to complete the RRB ALP 2025 registration process was May 11, and to pay the application fee was May 13.
The modification window, which allows candidates to make corrections in the RRB ALP application form , will now open from May 22 to May 31. However, details entered while creating an account and the selected RRB cannot be changed. Candidates will be required to pay a modification fee of Rs 250 for making changes.
The board has retained July 1, 2025, as the cut-off date for determining the age limit. The crucial date for the validity of educational qualifications and other certificates will now be May 19, which is the revised closing date for online submission of the application.
RRB ALP 2025 Application: Total vacancies
The RRB recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 9,970 vacancies for the assistant loco pilot post. Out of the total 9,970 vacancies, 4,116 have been allotted to the unreserved (UR) category. A total of 1,716 vacancies are for Scheduled Castes (SC), while 858 are for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
The Other Backward Classes (OBC) category has been allocated 2,289 vacancies, and 991 have been reserved for candidates from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Additionally, 1,004 vacancies have been reserved for the ex-servicemen (Ex-SM).

RRB ALP Registration: Document specifications
Candidates should keep the following scanned documents ready before filling out the online RRB ALP application 2025:
- Photograph: Recent colour passport-size photo (35 mm x 45 mm) with a plain white background and dark-coloured clothing. JPG/JPEG format, 50–150 KB, scanned at a minimum of 150 DPI. The photo should be clear, with no shadows or obstructions, and not older than two months. Minimum resolution: 240 x 320 pixels.
- Signature: Done in running handwriting with black ink on white paper. JPG/JPEG format, 30–49 KB, scanned at a minimum of 100 DPI. The image should be clear, properly centred, and minimum resolution of 140 x 60 pixels. Do not use capital or disjointed letters.
- SC, ST certificate (for candidates seeking free train travel): PDF format, under 400 KB, clear and valid as of the application closing date.
