RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: Vacancies increase to 18,799 for assistant loco pilot post

NEW DELHI: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has revised the vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts. As per the official notice, the total number of vacancies for RRB ALP posts has been increased to 18,799. Earlier the board reported 5,696 vacancies form ALP posts through the official notification.

“Railway Recruitment Board has published CEN 01/2024 for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilo (ALP) with 5,696 vacancies all over the Indian Railways. A review has been undertaken in view of additional demand received from Zonal Railways and vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) stands enhanced to 18,799,” the official notice read.

“Necessary notice indicating RRB wise community wise break up of vacancies shall be displayed on website subsequently. Opportunity will also be given to existing candidates to revise their choice of RRB once details are published,” it further read.

The registration process for the RRB ALP 2024 recruitment exam took place from January 20 to February 19. The board will soon announce the exam dates for the RRB ALP recruitment exam 2024.

As per the official notice, candidates' age should be between 18 years old and 30 years old as of July 1, 2024, to be eligible for the RRB ALP exam 2024. Upper age limit relaxations are applicable for reserved category candidates.

RRB ALP 2024 selection process will include five stages: first stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1), second stage (CBT 2), computer-based aptitude test (CBAT), document verification (DV), and medical examination (ME).
