RRB announces JE CBT 1 result 2026; qualified candidates to proceed to CBT 2 stage with scorecards available online
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the result for the RRB Junior Engineer (JE) 2026 on the official website of the respective region. Candidates can also download their scorecard from the respective regional websites of RRB.
The RRB JE CBT 1 examination 2026 was conducted on February 19, 20, and 25, 2026. The answer key for the exam was released on March 5, 2026, while the RRB JE CBT 1 result 2026 was declared on May 13, 2026.
In CBT 1, candidates were asked 100 questions for 100 marks from mathematics, general intelligence & reasoning, general awareness, and general science. The duration of the exam was 90 minutes.
Candidates who clear the RRB JE CBT 1 examination will move forward to the next stage and become eligible to appear for the CBT 2 test.

To download the RRB JE CBT 1 exam result 2026, follow the steps given below:
- Visit the respective regional websites of RRB
- Click on the ‘CEN 05/2025 Result’ or ‘RRB JE CBT 1 2026 Result’ link
- Now, the RRB JE CBT 1 result PDF link will appear on the screen
- Download the RRB JE result PDF on the respective devices
- Check the roll number by using ‘Ctrl+F’ key
RRB JE Exam Pattern
The RRB JE exam is conducted in two stages: CBT 1 and CBT 2, followed by document verification and medical examination. CBT 1 is qualifying in nature, while CBT 2 is considered for the final merit list. Both stages are objective-type computer-based tests with a uniform marking scheme.

RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Pattern
CBT 2 consists of 150 questions carrying 150 marks, covering general awareness, physics & chemistry, basics of computers, environment & pollution control, and technical abilities (branch-specific). The duration of the exam is 120 minutes.
In both CBT 1 and CBT 2, each correct answer carries 1 mark, while 1/3rd of a mark is deducted for every incorrect response as negative marking.
