RTE Admission 2022-23 Madhya Pradesh: Free admission in private schools begins

NEW DELHI: Madhya Pradesh school education department has invited online applications for free admission to private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, for the academic session 2022-23. Online application for the RTE admission 2022-23 Madhya Pradesh can be made from today, June 15 to June 30 on the RTE portal -- educationportal.mp.gov.in. Children orphaned by the death of a parent or guardian due to Covid-19 will be given priority in the online lottery this year as per the chief minister's Covid-19 child welfare scheme.

Eligible applicants will be selected on July 5 through an online lottery for free admission to private schools. Required documents related to eligibility have to be uploaded along with the form. The documents have to be verified by July 1 to avoid the cancellation of admission in case of an error in documents.

After the lottery process, the information about the allotted seat will be provided through SMS on the registered mobile number. A list of online lotteries will also be published on the RTE portal, informed the Madhya Pradesh school education department.
The minimum age for admission in nursery, KG-1 and KG-2 classes has been fixed from 3 to 5 years. For getting admission in Class 1, students should be at least 5 to 7 years old. The age of the applicant will be calculated as of June 16, 2022, based on the birth certificate.
