A total of 1,47,012 candidates -- 1,09,314 male candidates and 37,698 female -- appeared for Class 6 Sainik School exam last year. 

The NTA will reserve 67% of the seats in Sainik Schools for the home state candidates. The category-wise reservation for home state candidates through AISSEE 2024 is as follows:

• ST: 7.5% of 67 = 5
• OBC-NCL: 27% of 67 = 18
• Defence: 25% of 34 = 9

Last year, a total of 22,696 students passed the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE). Around 36,600 had registered for the Sainik School exam while 3,802 remained absent. Female candidates were not eligible for Class 9. 

In Sainik Schools, 67% of the seats are reserved for home state candidates while 33% of the seats are reserved for outside candidates. Within the home state and outside state categories, 49.50% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) including 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 27% for OBC-NCL. Of the remaining 50.50% of seats, 25% of seats are for children of defence personnel and ex-servicemen. 

As per last year's AISSEE result, the top 100 rankers in Class 9 scored between 358 and 388 marks in the Sainik School Examination. 

AISSEE 2024 merit list will be published by NTA along with the results on its official website. 

Candidates will get two marks for each correct answer in language section of AISSEE 2024.

40% route: 40% of the seats in the NSSs will be filled on the basis of the rank secured in the all India merit list of AISSEE 2024. 

60% route: Up to 60% of the seats in NSSs will be filled by students who are currently studying in any of the approved NSSs on the basis of their rank school-wise merit list.

NTA will prepare three merit lists based on AISSEE result 2024 for admission to Sainik Schools. The lists will be as follows:

• School-wise and category-wise merit list. Separate lists will be prepared for boys and girls and Class 6 and 9. 
• All India merit list for admission to New Sainik Schools for admission under 40% route.
• School-wise merit list for admission to New Sainik Schools for admission under 60% route.

Besides the official AISSEE 2024 website, Sainik School result will be published on the website of the respective schools. Candidates will also receive their AISSEE scorecard 2024 via email and SMS. 

As per AISSEE 2024, NTA will declare Sainik School result 2024 for Class 9 within six weeks from the exam. The Sainik School exam was conducted on January 28. 

Sainik School admission 2024 for Class 6 will be conducted on the basis of rank secured by candidates in the Sainik School exam, AISSEE 2024. Candidates should score at least 25% in each exam topic and 40% overall across all subjects in the AISSEE 2024.

Union defence minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the country's first all-girls Sainik School, Samvid Gurukulam Girls Sainik School at Vrindavan in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh in January this year. The admission to the new school will be through AISSEE 2024.

AISSEE 2024 exam for Class 9 included questions on four topics. As per the AISSEE 2024 marking scheme, candidates will be two marks for each correct answer in language, three marks in mathematics, two for intellgence, and two for general knowledge. There will be no negative marking. 

In order to pass AISSEE Sainik School exam 2024, candidates need to score 25% marks in each subject and 40% aggregate for admission to Sainik Schools (SS). There is no cut-off for SC, ST candidates. In case of New Sainik Schools (NSS), all candidates will need to have 25% marks in every subject and 40% total.

There are two ways of admission to New Sainik Schools approved by the defence ministry. 

40% route: 40% of the seats in the approved NSSs will be filled on the basis of the rank secured in the All India merit list of AISSEE 2024. 

60% route: Up to 60% of the seats in NSSs will be filled by students who are currently studying in any of the approved NSSs on the basis of their rank school-wise merit list.

AISSEE 2024 candidates can download the Sainik School results 2024 by logging in to the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE. Students will have to enter their application number and date of birth in the scorecard link. 

Last year, over 1 lakh students including 75,934 boys and 25,837 qualified for the Sainik School exam held for Class 6. Around 1.58 lakh candidates had registered for the exam while 1,47,012 had appeared for the exam. 

As per the AISSEE 2024 eligibility criteria for Class 6, the age of candidates should be between 10 and 12 years, as on March 31, 2024 whereas for Class 9, the student should be between 13 and 15 years as on March 31, 2024.

Students who appeared for AISSEE 2024 need to obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each subject and 40% aggregate marks in order to qualify the Sainik School exam for admission. 

The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2024 was held for 35 sainik schools. In addition of 19 Sainik Schools, the defence ministry approved 16 New Sainik Schools starting from the academic year 2024-25.
