SBI PO prelims 2026 merit list PDF out; mains exam on September 12

The State Bank of India (SBI) has published the SBI PO Prelims Result 2026 for candidates who appeared for the probationary officer preliminary examination. The result and merit list have been published in roll number-wise format on SBI’s official website. The bank has released a list containing roll numbers of shortlisted candidates who will appear for the next stage, i.e., the main examination.

The SBI PO prelims exam was conducted on August 1 and 2. The mains exam will tentatively be held on September 12, 2026, and admit cards will be out soon. SBI has said further details will be communicated to shortlisted candidates separately through SMS or email.

How to check SBI PO prelims result 2026

SBI has also made the marks secured by candidates in the preliminary examination available through its recruitment results page.

  • Go to the official SBI website at sbi.bank.in
  • On homepage, click on the “Careers” section and go to “Recruitment Results”
  • Find “Recruitment of Probationary Officers” under Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2026-27/09
  • Click on “Preliminary Examination Result”
  • The result PDF containing the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates will open up on screen
  • Download the PDF and use Ctrl+F to search for your roll number

Those who find their roll numbers in the list should be prepared to appear in the second round- mains exam. Candidates shortlisted for the next stage should keep checking the SBI website for the main examination admit card and further instructions and guidelines.

The SBI PO scorecard contains details, such as the candidate's personal details, section-wise marks, overall marks, qualifying status, and category-wise cut-off marks. Through this recruitment drive, the bank will fill a total of 1,500 probationary officer posts.
