SC adjourns hearing on CBSE Class 12 exam 2021 cancellation to May 31

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India has adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking the cancellation of CBSE 12th exam 2021 to May 31, 2021, according to a report by Live Law. The PIL to cancel CBSE Class 12 exam 2021 was filed by Advocate Mamta Sharma.

A vacation bench comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari was considering the PIL, Live Law reported.

Why did the SC adjourn CBSE Class 12 exam cancellation hearing?

The bench adjourned the hearing because the petitioner did not serve an advanced copy on the standing counsel for the CBSE. The bench asked the petitioner to serve the advance copy on the CBSE counsel and adjourned the hearing to May 31 at 11 AM, the report says.

CBSE exam date to be announced by June 1

The CBSE is expected to release the date and pattern for Class 12 exams by June 1, 2021 and the petition is listed for hearing on May 31, 2021. So, a final verdict on CBSE 12th exam 2021 is expected to be taken after this hearing.

A large number of students and their parents have requested the minister and CBSE high-level officials through social media platforms to cancel CBSE Class 12 exam 2021.
