SDMIMD, TCS-iON to provide supplementary learning to PGDM students
The SDMIMD partnership with TCS aims to provide a supplementary study option for PGDM students with a joint certificate.
NEW DELHI: Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore, signed a five-year agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for an educational partnership.
“The SDMIMD partnership with TCS aims to provide learning opportunities for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) students on TCSiON Platform as a supplementary study. There will be corporate professional inputs for eight SDMIMD courses and an internship in the management sector,” said a statement from SDMIMD Mysore.
The SDMIMD students will have to take the National Qualifier Test (NQT) conducted by TCS. Students will be eligible for a joint certificate issued by SDMIMD and TCSiON certifying the supplementary study experience. This will be a value-addition to SDMIMD students as they are getting practical exposure to the association with TCS.
The agreement has been finalised by NR Parasuraman, director of SDMIMD and Ravindra Kembhavi, head sales and chief education evangelist, TCS iON. The chairman of SDMIMD, D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, was also present during the signing of the agreement.
“We will always welcome and encourage practical exposure and value-added support from corporate bodies,” said Heggade.
The partnership aims to realise the objective of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by providing exposure to the students of a real work scenario. The students will be able to obtain practical knowledge from the programme.
