Shikshak Parv 2021: PM Modi to address education stakeholders, launch initiatives tomorrow

The inaugural conclave of Shikshak Parv will begin with prime minister Narendra Modi's address via video conferencing.
NEW DELHI: Prime minister Narendra Modi will address education stakeholders on the role of teachers, learning during pandemic and launching new initiatives at the inaugural conclave of Shikshak Parv held via a video conferencing platform at 10:30 am on September 7.
The Ministry of Education tweeted.

The prime minister in addition to the NEP 2020 initiatives will also launch initiatives such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL) based Indian Sign Language (ISL) Dictionary of 10,000 words, Talking Books, National Initiative for School Heads' and Teachers' Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA 3.0), Vidyanjali 2.0 and School Quality Assessment and. Accreditation Framework (SQAAF).

The theme of the inaugural session of the Shikshak Parv will be “Quality and Sustainable Schools – Learning from Schools in India.” On the second day of Shikshak Parv, the theme is “Technology in Education – National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR)” and “Digital Literacy for Youth and Adults”.
The key initiatives to be launched tomorrow include Indian Sign Language Dictionary (audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, in conformity with Universal Design of Learning), Talking Books (audio books for the visually impaired), School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), NISHTHA teachers' training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal (for facilitating education volunteers/ donors/ CSR contributors for school development).
