Shiv Nadar University launches BA Research in Humanities, Social Sciences; 100% scholarship for school toppers

Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR has launched Bachelor of Arts (research) in Interdisciplinary Humanities and Social Sciences (IHS) for students from any high school streams. The four-year undergraduate programme offers three specialisation options with diverse choices.

The BA programme provides students with a strong foundational curriculum on various topics such as natural sciences, social sciences, geo-politics, business, Artificial Intelligence, and other domains.

Students will be allowed to choose one of three specialisations from sustainability studies, archaeology, heritage and historical studies, or society, culture and technology.

Ten 100% scholarships for meritorious students

The UG programme will be led by Rajat Kathuria, dean, professor, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, along with other faculties from the university. Students opting for the BA programme will be trained to pursue careers across academia, private sector, government, international organisations and start-ups.

“They will be supported by experiential learning and responsible, ethical use of AI, with opportunities for live projects, fieldwork, field trips, exchanges, immersions and internships integrated into the curriculum,” according to the official statement.

The four-year BA in IHS will allow students to pursue BA (research), BA (Hons.), or BA (research) with a minor. It will be followed by a mandatory AI literacy module transforming into an innovation hub where students can build interdisciplinary AI applications.

“Experiential learning through internships, campus-as-a-living-lab projects, global exchanges, and summer fieldwork. Multiple pathways into careers across policy, sustainability, heritage, journalism, design, media, social research, and higher education,” the university said.

Notably, the university has announced ten full scholarships per batch, covering 100% tuition fee for all four years for meritorious students, in addition to several university-wide scholarships and financial aid options.

It combines academic rigor with practical learning, through live projects, fieldwork, and exchange programs, so that students are not just aware of the world but equipped to change it.
