SHRESHTA NETS 2024 exam advanced to May 11 due to general election

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advanced the exam dates for the National Entrance Test for the Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Classes in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA NETS) 2024 due to general elections. The SHRESHTA NETS 2024 exam will now be held on May 11.

The SHRESHTA NETS 2024 application process is underway and the last date to fill out the application form is April 4. The SHRESHTA NETS 2024 application form correction window will open for three days from April 6 to 8. Eligible candidates can fill out the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 application form by visiting the official website at shreshta.ntaonline.in, exams.nta.ac.in/ SHRESHTA.

As per the official exam schedule, the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 admit card will be issued on May 6. The SHRESHTA NETS 2024 result will be declared within 4 to 6 weeks after the exam.

The SHRESHTA scheme was launched by the central government to provide high-quality education to meritorious scheduled castes (SCs) students. Under this scheme, approximately 3,000 SC category students will be selected to get admission to CBSE-affiliated schools nationwide for Class 9 and 11.

Candidates applying for SHRESHTA NETS should have a parental income of less than 2.5 lakh per year. Scheduled caste students studying in Class 8 and 10 can apply for the SHRESHTA NETS Class 9 and 11 exams, respectively.

SHRESHTA NETS 2024: Exam pattern

The SHRESHTA (NETS) - 2024 exam pattern comprises four sections with 100 questions in total. The exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode only and students will get 3 hours from 2 pm to 5 pm to complete the exam. The subject-wise questions and marks distribution are given in the table below.
