Sona College of Technology opens admissions for four-year BTech in fashion technology

Sona College of Technology Admissions 2026: Students admitted to BTech in fashion technology programme will also have the opportunity to attend a 20-week, multi-phase industry internship.
Sona College of Technology has opened admissions for its BTech in fashion technology programme for the academic year 2026-27. Eligible candidates can apply for the engineering courses through the official website at sonatech.ac.in.
Students from science stream who have cleared Class 12 exams from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects with first division are eligible to apply for the four-year BTech in fashion technology programme at Sona College of Technology.
Notably, selected students will also be given the opportunity to attend a 20-week, immersive, multi-phase industry internship.

“Alongside the core Textile and Fashion Technology subjects the finely-honed programme offers abundant exposure to brand building, soft skills, programming, basic sciences and robotics. Students get to choose from a range of interdisciplinary elective subjects, including Japanese language,” according to an official statement.
The engineering programme has been launched by the college’s department of fashion technology. Students will be given training in apparel CAD, garment construction, and technical textiles, along with insights from 40 published patents, the college said.
Those enrolled in the BTech in fashion technology programme will have the opportunity to immerse in a hub with 10 patents, it said.
“Ongoing projects span textile engineering under National Technical Textiles Mission, Canada’s University Health Network that allows learners to engage in cutting edge research from textile materials to smart wearables with remote health monitoring and curative applications,” the technology college added.
The Sona College of Technology is a NAAC A++ accredited and NIRF-ranked autonomous institute under Anna University. The BTech curriculum is based on insights and inputs from various industry connections, the college said.
