SPJIMR earns EQUIS accreditation; fourth Indian institution to achieve ‘triple crown’ status

NEW DELHI : Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has earned the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development. With the EQUIS accreditation, SPJIMR has achieved the "Triple Crown" status. EQUIS accreditation is granted to business schools that demonstrate excellence in business and management education and align with international standards across multiple dimensions.
Anupama Gupta, director of accreditation and rankings, highlighted the collective efforts behind the achievement, acknowledging the contributions of faculty, staff, students, and alumni. She also expressed gratitude to the EQUIS team for their insights and to all stakeholders for their support throughout the process.

One of four Indian institutions with ‘Triple Crown’ status
EQUIS accreditation is currently held by 224 business schools across 45 countries. SPJIMR has become one of only four business schools in India to achieve the "Triple Crown" accreditation, which includes EQUIS, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and Association of MBAs (AMBA). The recognition signifies compliance with international benchmarks in business education.

EQUIS Accreditation: Evaluation criteria
EQUIS is an accreditation system designed to evaluate and improve the quality of business schools based on 10 key criteria. These include context, governance and strategy, programs, students, faculty, research, executive education, resources and administration, internationalization, ethics and sustainability, and connections with professional practice. The process emphasizes comprehensive assessments across these areas to ensure adherence to global standards in management education.
