SRMJEEE 2018 Starts on April 16

NEW DELHI, APRIL 16: SRM University is conducting its annual entrance exam, SRMJEEE from April 16 in online mode. The exam is the entry point for engineering aspirants to the various programmes offered by the university across its campuses. The online exam ends on April 30.

Candidates who have enrolled for the entrance exam and have their valid admit cards will only be able to appear in the exam. SRMJEEE 2018 is being held at around 118 exam centres in the country and 5 centres abroad. Candidates appearing for the exam have to report at the centres allotted to them in their respective admit cards.

The exam is 2 hours 30 minutes long being organised in online mode. To make it feasible for candidates across the country, the language of the exam is being chosen as English. Candidates will have to choose the right option out of the four options available as the question paper will be in multiple choice questions format. For that, it is important that candidates read the questions carefully and then attempt it.

Each correct answer will get 3 marks and there will be no negative marking. Candidates will have to attempt 105 questions in total, 35 each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The total marks of the question paper would be 315.

While appearing in the examination, it is important that candidates adhere to the instructions as given by the authorities, otherwise, they may have issues regarding indiscipline resulting in cancellation of their exam. 

Some of the exam day instructions are:

• Candidates must not tamper or destroy their admit cards. They must also not alter any entry made in the admit card after it has been authenticated. It is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.
• They will have to produce their valid admit cards and ID proof at the registration desk without which entry will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
• At the registration desk, the identity of the candidate will be verified, hall ticket will be scanned, photograph will be captured and then a computer will be assigned.
• The exam will be conducted in online mode at a workstation. A rough sheet will be provided for working purpose. All rough work has to be done in the provided paper sheet itself. No additional material will be given for rough work.
• Candidates will not be allowed inside the examination hall with their belongings.
• Candidates who will attempt to tamper the computer system either hardware or software, found with calculators, slide rules, pagers, cell phones, concealed microphones or wireless devices inside the examination hall, found creating disturbance or attempting to take the exam on behalf of someone else will be disqualified.

Candidates will be able to check their SRMJEEE 2018 result on May 3, 2018 in online mode and for those who qualify will be able to participate in the admission process further.
