#SSC_CGL_1JAN: Applicants flood Twitter over the SSC CGL age reckoning issue. They have been demanded to revise the cut-off date from August 1 to January 1.
NEW DELHI: A large section of prospective candidates have been flooding Twitter and other social media over the SSC CGL age reckoning issue. Candidates have demanded the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to revise the upper age limit for SSC CGL exam 2023 from August 1 to January 1, 2023.
The SSC will hold Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL 2023) for filling up of various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in different ministries and departments of the Government of India and various constitutional bodies.
The commission opened the online application window on April 3. Applicants will be able to apply for around 7,500 vacancies on the official website, ssc.nic.in, till May 3.
As per the SSC CGL notification 2023, the age limit will be counted as on August 1, 2023 for various posts instead of January 1, 2023. Candidates who have between the age range of 18-32 will be able to apply.
“Candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess essential qualification on or before the cut-off date i.e. 01-08-2023,” the notification read.
However, aspirants started requesting the commission to revise the age limit and give final chance to aspirants who do not qualify for exams because of the age cut-off date. #SSC_CGL_1JAN is trending on Twitter.
