SSC CGL 2023 Tier 1 Result: Candidates alleged only 8.4 times students qualified for tier 2 which is very less than previous years.

NEW DELHI: Candidates who appeared for the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) 2023 are demanding revised results citing that very less number of students qualified for the mains exam as compared to previous years. The aspirants alleged that the commission called fewer candidates for the increased vacancies without notifying the reasons.
This year, 71,112 students qualified for the second exam. Some candidates shared a comparison of the number of qualified candidates over years and alleged that only 8.4 times of the vacancies have been selected for the SSC CGL tier 2 exam while 12-15 times candidates used to qualify for the mains exam. In the previous years, over 1 lakh candidates qualified in the prelims exam, aspirants added.

SSC CGL tier 1 result 2023 was declared on September 19 for the preliminary exam held from July 14 to July 27. 4,377 candidates were shortlisted for the post of assistant audit officer and assistant accounts officer. 3,123 were selected for junior statistical officer and 3,140 for statistical investigator. 71,112 candidates were selected for all other posts. Candidates who qualified in prelims will be appearing for the SSC CGL tier 2 exam 2023 scheduled from October 25 to October 27.
A candidate said in a post, “Believe it or not .. But we are suffering a lot by the unfair result given by SSC. It was the last attempt for some of us and even after preparing hard, we failed just because of the unfair result. What are we gonna do now?”
