The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has allowed SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE 2025) candidates under the PwD-OH category exemption from appearing in the typing test. Candidates will have to submit a medical certificate by January 10, in the prescribed format from a competent medical authority, to be eligible for the SSC CGL 2025 DEST exemption.

Candidates under the Persons with Disabilities Orthopedic Handicap (PwD-OH) category will have to submit a medical certificate declaring them to be permanently unfit for the Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) because of a physical disability.

However, no such exemption is available for the posts where either computer proficiency is required or where DEST is prescribed, except for the tax assistant posts in CBDT, for which exemption from the typing test is available.

All other PwD candidates are not eligible for exemption from DEST, the official SSC notice said.
