SSC CGL tier-1 answer key was scheduled to be released a day after the exam on October 15. However, candidates say the “next day never came” and are now seeking clarity from the commission.
After repeated exam disruptions, technical glitches, and re-exam, SSC CGL candidates are now expressing frustration over the delay in publishing the official answer key, despite assurances from the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) that it would upload the keys by October 15. Many aspirants said that the commission has been inconsistent throughout the exam process and that its statements lacked clarity and transparency.
The official X handle of SSC , created to provide official and verified information, is now drawing backlash for being ambiguous. Immediately after the launch of @SSC_GoI, candidates flooded the platform with complaints and appeals regarding several recruitment exams.
SSC’s official statement
In a major exam reform, the commission decided to disclose the question papers along with responses and answer keys. It also halved the challenge fee for SSC CGL tier-1 answer key from Rs 100 to Rs 50.
Around 28 lakh candidates registered for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE 2025) exam, of which nearly 13.5 lakh appeared in 126 cities and 255 exam centres in 45 shifts. Due to a technical snag, SSC announced re-exam for affected candidates on October 14.
In the official PIB statement, the candidates were informed that the process for challenging questions would be open the next day, October 15.
On its X handle, it wrote: “The CGLE-2025 exam for rescheduled candidates was successfully conducted today over 44 centres across the country. The challenge for CGLE-2025 will be made live subsequently in a day or two.”

SSC CGL aspirants demand clarity
Kunal Dhriyan said: “This X handle was created by SSC for providing genuine information. But they themselves are not providing accurate information. Today is the second day, but there is no trace of the CGL answer key.”
Another user wrote on X: “The PIB Press statement SSC said that: The process for challenging questions will open the next day, October 15. When will you release #SSC_CGL_AnswerKey 2025.”
Several candidates also echoed similar views citing that even after SSC’s public commitment via PIB, no follow-up clarification has been issued. Some users noted that the SSC has restricted comments on X posts, preventing candidates from approaching the commission directly.
While the PIB statement says SSC CGL answer key will be issued on October 15, candidates are now asking: “If the next day has already passed, when will the answer key be issued?"
