SSC CGL city slip 2026 out at ssc.gov.in; check tier 1 dates, shift timings

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the combined graduate-level examination city intimation slip for candidates appearing in tier 1 examination.Candidates can now check their allotted examination city, exam date and shift details through official SSC website, ssc.gov.in. The tier 1 exam will be conducted from September 30 to October 30, 2026, in computer-based mode.

Through this recruitment drive 12,256 tentative Group B and Group C vacancies will be filled.

Candidates can download the SSC CGL Tier 1 city intimation slip from official website by logging in with their registration number or username and password. On the city slip, candidates can only check allotted examination city and date details. The admit card release date and time have not been announced yet. However, following the past trends, it is expected to be out on September 26. The hall tickets will have exam centre name, address, timing, guidelines and other required details.

Steps to check SSC CGL city intimation slip 2026

Candidates can follow the steps below to check and download SSC city slip.

• Go to the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in
• On homepage, click on “Login/Register” option
• Enter the required registration number or username and password
• Submit the login credentials. Then go to SSC CGL examination section
• Click on the link for city slip
• The allotted examination city, date and shift details will be displayed on the screen
• Check all the details carefully and download the city intimation slip

City slip is released ahead of admit cards so that candidates can make travel arrangements accordingly. The city slip is not valid for entry into the examination hall. Candidates will be required to carry the admit card for appearing in the examination.

The first shift will be held from 9 am to 10 am, the second from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm, the third from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm and the fourth from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm.

SSC CGL Tier 1 examination will comprise four sections- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Each section will have 25 questions carrying 50 marks, making the examination a total of 100 questions and 200 marks. The duration of the examination will be one hour.
