SSC CGL Tier-2 2022 post preference facility begins today at ssc.nic.in
SSC CGL tier-2 candidates will have to submit option-cum-preference by May 1 through candidate login at ssc.nic.in.

NEW DELHI : The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will open the facility to opt for a preferred post for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) tier-2 2022 today, April 27. Candidates who appeared in the SSC CGL tier 2 exam will have to submit option-cum-preference through the official website, ssc.nic.in. The last date to opt for a preferred post is May 1.
The commission conducted the SSC CGL tier 2 exam from March 2 to 7. The tier 1 exam was held from December 1 to 13, 2022 and the results for CGL tier 1 were declared on February 9 on the official website. Before declaring the final result, SSC is allowing candidates to choose a preferred post or department.

“Candidates who fail to exercise their Option-cum-Preference(s) during the aforesaid period, shall not be given any further opportunity for submission of their Option-cum-Preference(s) and such candidates will not be considered for inclusion in the final merit list/final selection,” SSC said.
SSC CGL Tier-2 candidates will be able to fill option-cum-preference through candidate login, wherein a tab for submission of option-cum-preferences for posts or departments will be activated.
“PwBD candidates must ensure that they give preference for only those posts which are identified as suitable for their disabilities. Allocation of posts will be made as per the provisions of the Notice of Examination on the basis of 'merit-cum-preference of posts.” the commission added.
SSC CGL 2022: How to submit post preference option
Candidates can follow the steps given below to opt their preferred posts.
- Visit the SSC official website, ssc.nic.in.
- Login through the candidate login window.
- Enter registration number and password.
- Now select the preferred posts or departments as per the eligibility.
- Submit the option-cum-preference form.
- Download or save the confirmation page for future reference.
