SSC GD 2025 Recruitment: The computer-based test will be held in the month of January or February.
NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was about to publish the General Duty (GD) constable recruitment 2024 notification today, August 27. However, the SSC commission has issued an update stating that the notification has been postponed. As per the revised date, the SSC GD 2025 notification will now be published on September 5, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply for the SSC GD 2025 recruitment on the official website, ssc.nic.in.
The SSC GD 2025 official notice read, “As per the tentative calendar of the Examinations for the year 2024-2025, Notice of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2025 for inviting Online Applications from the aspiring candidates was scheduled to be published on the website of the Commission on 27.08.2024.However, due to administrative reasons, Notice of the said Exam will now be issued on 05.09.2024.”
The SSC GD 2025 eligibility criteria will be mentioned in detail on the official notification. As per past trends, candidates must be an India citizen and between the ages of 18 and 23 to be eligible. The candidate is also required to have passed the Class 10 exam from any recognised board to be eligible for SSC GD 2024 recruitment.
SSC GD 2025: Selection process and posts
The SSC GD 2025 selection process includes Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and the medical examination. The following posts will be offered through SSC GD 2025 recruitment drive.
- Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF)
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF),
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
- Secretariat Security Force (SSF)
- Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR)
- Sepoy in NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau)

SSC GD 2025: CBT exam pattern
As per the SSC GD 2025 tentative schedule, the CBT will be held in January or February. The SSC GD 2025 exam will be divided into four parts- general intelligence and reasoning, general knowledge and general awareness, elementary mathematics and English or Hindi. The duration of each section in SSC GD 2025 exam is 60 minutes. Each section carries 20 questions. Candidates will get 2 marks for each correct answer and there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
