SSC GD Constable 2026 exam date announced; CBT on February 23

SSC GD 2026: Candidates will be able to edit their application forms on the official website, ssc.gov.in, from January 8 to 10.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam date for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026. As per the schedule, the SSC GD Constable 2026 exam will be held on February 23, 2026, at various centres across the country.
The application window for SSC GD 2026 closed on December 31, 2025. The application correction window will open on January 8, and candidates will be able to edit their submitted forms until January 10.
The authority has not yet announced the SSC GD Constable admit card date. However, based on previous trends, it is expected to be issued in the last week of January 2026.

Candidates will be able to download the admit card for the SSC GD Constable exam 2026 by entering their valid registration number and password.
SSC GD Constable 2026 exam pattern
The SSC GD question paper consists of four sections, each containing 25 questions. The exam duration is 90 minutes. The SSC GD Constable 2026 exam pattern is given below.

The SSC GD Constable Physical Standard/ Physical Efficiency Test (PST/ PET) includes a race of 5 km to be completed by male candidates in 24 minutes, and 1.6 km for female candidates in 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
Candidates appearing for the GD Constable exam will be shortlisted for SSC recruitment based on their performance in the computer-based test (CBT), physical standard test (PST), physical efficiency test (PET), medical examination, and document verification stages.
