Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the dates for the application availability of SSC GD Constable. As per the renew dates, the application form of SSC GD Constable will be available from August 17 to September 17, 2018. Earlier, the Commission had released the application form on July 25, however due to some technical issues, the application dates have been postponed. Thus, the exam conducting authority has decided to withhold the application procedure for 20 days. Candidates who have registered earlier need not register again for the exam.
According to SSC officials,“The facility for submission of online applications started on July 25. However, due to very heavy load of applications, the new website of the Commission has become very slow and candidates are facing problems in One-Time Registration and submission of online applications. To mitigate this issue, it has been decided to withhold the application process for a period of 20 days.”
“During this period of temporary suspension from July 28 to August 16, the Commission would be augmenting the capability of the online system commensurate with the load which is likely to increase during ensuing days. Candidates who have already registered on the new website are assured that their data is secure with the Commission and they will not be required to register again,” the notice further reads.
The application procedure of SSC GD Constable is online. Applications submitted through any other mode besides the online mode will not be accepted by the exam conducting authority. Fee is Rs 100 for General and OBC which can be paid both online and offline. Candidates can pay their fee offline till September 20, 2018 provided the challan has been generated before September 17, 2018.
Aadhaar Card is mandatory for filling SSC GD Constable application form 2018. Candidates who do not have their Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrollment number are required to provide ID numbers of Voter Card, PAN, Passport, Driving License, School/College ID, Employer ID or left thumb impression while filling the application form.
