SSC GD constable 2026 registration closes today; exam dates soon

SSC GD 2026: Candidates can apply for various constable posts available on the official website, ssc.gov.in. Application fee payment till January 1.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close registration for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026 today, December 31. Candidates can apply for the SSC GD constable 2026 exam on the official website, ssc.gov.in.
As per the SSC GD constable 2026 exam schedule, the application fee has to be submitted by January 1. Candidates will be able to correct details in the application from January 8 to 10.
The application fee is Rs 100, while women candidates, as well as those belonging to SC, ST, and ex-servicemen categories, are exempt from paying the fee.
SSC GD constable recruitment 2025 aims to fill a total of 25,487 vacancies. The highest number of vacancies is in the Central industrial security force (CISF) with 14,595 posts, followed by the Central reserve police force (CRPF) with 5,490 posts. The pay scale for all posts ranges from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100.

SSC GD Constable Exam Dates 2026
SSC GD constable exam 2026 is scheduled to be conducted between February and April 2026. Candidates appearing for the examination will be shortlisted for SSC recruitment based on their performance in the computer-based test (CBT), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by the medical examination and document verification.
Candidates who have passed the matriculation or Class 10 exam from a recognised board can apply for the recruitment exam. As per the age limit criteria, applicants must be 18-23 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Candidates born before January 2, 2003 and after January 1, 2008, are not eligible to apply.
