NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the final results of junior engineer (SSC JE 2023). A total of 1,374 candidates have been recommended for various posts to be filled under SSC JE recruitment 2023. The SSC JE final results 2023 is available on the official website, ssc.nic.in.
The commission conducted the paper 2 computer-based test (CBT) on December 4, 2023. The results of the paper 1 exam was announced on November 17, 2023. The SSC JE final merit list 2023 has been published based on the marks obtained in both paper 1 and paper 2.
Candidates who have been shortlisted will have to further participate in the document verification for recruitment.
“Keeping in view that the candidates of both Electrical and Mechanical branches compete for some common posts, the marks of the two branches in Paper-II have been normalized and such normalized scores have been taken into account for determining the final merit and cut-off marks,” the commission informed.
In cases where two or more candidates have secured the same marks, the commission has used the following tie-breaking to determine the merit.
The category-wise minimum qualifying marks are given below.
Category | Qualifying percentage | Marks |
General | 30% | Paper 1- 60 Paper-2- 90 |
OBC/EWS | 25% | Paper 1- 50 Paper-2- 75 |
Other categories | 20% | Paper 1- 40 Paper-2- 60 |
Candidates who have secured more than the announced cut-off and not included in the merit list will have to report at the concerned Regional Office of the Commission within two months of the declaration of the final result.
