SSC MTS 2024 registration deadline extended; vacancy increased to 9,583

NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the registration deadline for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) recruitment 2024. Eligible candidates can now fill out the SSC MTS 2024 application form by August 3 through the official website at ssc.gov.in.
“The relevant parts in the Notice of Examination where the closing date was treated as a crucial date for ascertaining eligibility will now be as per the new closing date i.e 03.08.2024. The dates of ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ i.e 16.08.2024 to 17.08.2024 (23.00 hours) will remain unchanged,” the official notice read.
The commission has also increased the vacancies from 8,326 to 9,583. Out of this, 6,144 vacancies are reserved for the MTS posts and 3,439 for Havaldar posts in CBIC and CBN. “The tentative vacancies of MTS mentioned in para 2.1 of the Notice of Examination may be read as 6144 instead of 4887,” the official notice read.
SSC MTS 2024: Application fee
Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 to register for the SSC MTS 2024 exam. Women candidates and candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), and ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee.
The commission has also extended the deadline for fee payment from August 1, to August 4. The commission will open the SSC MTS, Havaldar 2024 application correction facility for two days on August 16 and 17. The SSC MTS 2024 exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in the month of October-November 2024.

SSC MTS 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can review the eligibility criteria for the SSC MTS 2024 recruitment exam provided below.
Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years old and 25 years old for the MTS posts and between 18 years old and 27 years old for the Havaldar posts. The upper age limit relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Class 10 or its equivalent from a recognised board on or before August 1, 2024.
