After candidates complained of inconsistencies in the data due to technical glitches, the commission decided to hold a fresh exam for over 55,000 aspirants, amid the protests.
SSC found a gap in data after introducing Aadhaar-based authentication for candidates and exam functionaries. For the first time, a computer-based test was held based on the revised model.
Around 11.50 lakh candidates registered for the exams, of which more than 5.50 lakh candidates took the matric, higher secondary and graduate level exams at 194 centres across the country from July 24 to August 1.
