SSC Steno grade C, D skill test 2022 cancelled due to technical glitches

SSC Steno grade C and D skill test conducted on February 15, 2023 has been cancelled after receiving complaints about technical glitches from candidates.
NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced that the Stenographer Grade C and D recruitment examination, 2022 will be cancelled in a SSC latest notification.

After receiving complaints about technical glitches and feedback received from regional centers the commission has decided to cancel the SSC steno exam that was held on February 15, 2023 in two shifts. The new SSC steno grade C and D exam date will be released soon at ssc.nic.in.
"The dictation audio was not clear, I heard the same complaint from other candidates giving the Steno exam in other exam centers," said a candidate appearing for the SSC Steno skill test. "The trial audio before the exam itself was not clear, all students complained, but the authorities refused to listen and began the exam with the technical glitches. The audio difficulties made the transcription of words very difficult," she added.

“Keeping in view the large number of complaints received from the candidates and feedback received from Regional Offices of the Commission regarding the technical glitches faced during the conduct of Skill Test of Stenographer Grade C & D Examination, 2022 on 15.02.2023 (Shift 1 & 2), the Commission has decided to cancel the said exam and to reconduct the same on a fresh date only for those candidates who have appeared and registered themselves for Skill Test on 15.02.2023 (Shift 1 & 2),” read the SSC notification.
SSC stenographer exam age limit
Candidate appearing for SSC stenographer exams cannot be below the age of 18 years for both Grade 'C' & 'D' posts, , the upper age limit is 30 years for Grade C and 27 for Grade D posts. In addition to this, the commission also provides age relaxation to the candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST, PwD, Ex-servicemen categories. The SSC Stenographer salary in hand for Grade C is Rs. 50,628 whereas for Grade D it is Rs. 37,515 per month.
