SSC Stenographer 2024 application correction facility from August 27; things to keep in mind

Registered candidates will be able to make corrections in the application form at ssc.gov.in till August 28. Know correction fee.

NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will open the application correction window for Stenographer 2024 exam for grade C, D posts on August 27. Candidates who registered for the exam will be able to edit their SSC Steno application form 2024 on the official website, ssc.gov.in. The last date to make changes in the form is August 28.

“In case, any correction/ change is required to be made in the already filled application form, candidates may utilize the ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ for the same,” said SSC in an official notice.

The commission said that it will not entertain and summarily reject any request submitted after the deadline of the correction window for any change, correction, or modification in the application form in any mode of communication via post, fax, email, or physical.

Aspirants were able to register for the exam till August 17. Through the exam, SSC is going to fill a total of 2,006 vacancies for grade C and D posts. The exam is tentatively scheduled for October-November.

How to edit SSC Stenographer application form 2024?

  • Go to the official website, ssc.gov.in
  • Login with username and password
  • Click on the link to edit the form
  • Modify the application form as required
  • Review the changes and submit
  • Save the changes and take a print out of the confirmation page

A candidate will be allowed to rectify and re-submit their modified application two times during the correction window. If he or she has made a mistake in his updated application also, he or she will be allowed to re-submit the application again after making requisite corrections or modifications. “No more corrections in the application form will be allowed under any circumstances,” the commission said.

Applicants will be required to pay Rs 200 for making corrections and re-submitting the modified application for the first time and Rs 500 for the second time. The correction charges will be applicable to all candidates irrespective of their gender or category.
