Subscribe NowNEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conclude the stenographer recruitment exam 2024 registration process tomorrow, August 17. Eligible candidates can apply for the SSC Stenographer 2024 exam through the official website at ssc.gov.in.
The SSC stenographer exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in October - November. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 2,006 vacancies for Grade C and Grade D stenographer posts.
To register for the exam, candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs 100. However, women candidates and those belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), and ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempt from this fee. The last date to make payment is August 18.
The commission will provide a two-day window on August 27 and 28 for candidates to correct or modify their online application details. During this period, candidates can make corrections and resubmit their modified application up to two times.
The SSC Stenographer Grade C recruitment exam consists of three parts: Part A, Part B, and Part C. Part A is a two-hour computer-based test. Part B includes a shorthand skill test, with 40 minutes allotted for English and 55 minutes for Hindi. Part C will evaluate candidates' service records.

SSC Stenographer 2024: How to check application status
The SSC Steno application status indicates whether your application has been accepted by SSC. The commission may reject applications that do not meet their criteria. Candidates can follow the steps given below to check the application status.

Visit the official regional website of the respective regions.

Depending on the website, you may find the “Know Your Application Status” under the Notices section.

Locate and click on the “Application Status for SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D 2024” link.

A new window will open, enter the required credentials and log in.

Application status will then be displayed. Review and download it for future reference.
