As per the SSC’s new guidelines, the commission will retain candidates' admit cards during the exam. Hence, candidates should download and keep a copy of the same for further selection process.
The SSC will conduct the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ exam 2025 from August 6 to August 8, 2025. This year, the Commission has notified a total of 1,590 vacancies across both categories. Of these, 230 posts are available under Grade ‘C’ and 1,360 posts under Grade ‘D’.
SSC CGL 2025 vacancies out; protests over irregularities
The commission has also recently announced 14,582 vacancies for Group B and C posts under the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025. The SSC CGL tier 1 exam is scheduled to be held from August 13 to 30, while the Tier 2 exam is planned for December.
Meanwhile, SSC is facing criticism over the sudden cancellation of the Selection Post Phase 13 exam scheduled from July 24 to 26 in some centres. Protests erupted at Jantar Mantar with teachers and students alleging irregularities, technical glitches, and last-minute cancellations.
In Indore, several candidates were reportedly locked inside an exam centre and assaulted for raising concerns. Following viral videos and widespread backlash on social media, candidates have called for structural reforms using hashtags like #SSCMisManagement and #SSCReform.
SSC has recently announced that it will disclose the details of non-recommended candidates from the final stage of recruitment, starting with the results declared from November 2024. This information will aid PSUs and other agencies in recruitment and will remain on the SSC website for one year.
